Mrs. Green

A very special person left us last night.

Mrs. Norma "Tucky" Green was not only my best friend's mother, but a truly lovely lady whom I admired, respected and liked very much. She was of that rare breed of women who exuded beauty, strength, grace, intellect, compassion, charm and kindness. She was the ultimate hostess, an excellent and witty conversationalist and a very caring mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Green's daughter, my dear friend, possesses these same traits and is a living tribute to what her mother taught her over the years. Her mother was, indeed, very proud of her and told me so on more than one occasion. I know my friend and her brothers and children are suffering greatly from this loss and will miss their mother/grandmother very much, as she was a very integral part of their lives.

Though I only knew Mrs. Green for a couple of years, I feel very lucky to have known her at all. She will be missed by all who did.

Travel well, Mrs. Green and may peace be with you always.
